Melbourne & Olympic Parks (M&OP) has announced the temporary closure of AAMI Park, Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne Arena and Margaret Court Arena starting on Monday 16 March.

This follows the declaration of a State of Emergency on Monday 16 March, after which Victoria’s Chief Health Officer issued a legal direction that bans gatherings of 500 or more people in Victoria.

The ban operates from noon on 16 March 2020 to midnight on 13 April 2020.

M&OP’s scheduled events list is being updated with new information as changes are confirmed.

This closure does not include the M&OP precinct public open spaces and Eastern Plaza Car Park, which remain accessible. However, we encourage all members of the public to stay informed on the latest advice from government and make the best decisions for themselves and their families.

We are working with our venue hirers, sporting clubs and partners to assess the implication of a cancellation, postponement or change to viewing conditions of any event scheduled as appropriate in each case.
