Gymnastics Australia is thrilled to invite you to Melbourne Arena for the 2019 Australian Gymnastics Championships from 20 May – 4 June.
Melbourne Arena will host two weeks of superhuman feats as the top gymnasts from each state and territory compete for the title of national champion at the 2019 Australian Gymnastics Championships.
All six competitive Gymsports will be on show; the Olympic disciplines of Women’s and Men’s Artistic, Rhythmic and Trampoline Gymnastics, as well as Acrobatic Gymnastics, and for the first time Aerobic Gymnastics will also be joining our multi-Gymsport Australian Championships.
Participants and spectators will be amazed by the standard of competition and immersed in an experience like never before: entertainment, activities, educational workshops, a kid’s zone for interactive gymnastics and much more.
Important Guest Information

- Ticketed guests can access the arena concourse 60 minutes before the start of competition each day. Access into the seating bowl will be from 30 minutes before the start of competition.
- In addition to our standard conditions of entry, this event has strict policies around the use of cameras and recording devices. Professional cameras (including DSLR, mirrorless cameras or any camera with a detachable lens) are not permitted into the arena. Laptops, tablets, video cameras and tripods are also prohibited. Smart phones and small personal cameras are permitted for PHOTOGRAPHY ONLY. Video recording in the arena is not allowed under any circumstances. Temporary changes to Swan Street access
A section of Swan Street will be closed from Punt Road to Cremorne Street to complete works to the tram tracks and stops, roadway works and pedestrian pathways which will affect guest access to Melbourne Arena for parts of the Championship.
When: 11pm, Sunday 19 May - 6am, Friday 24 May
Where: Swan Street, Punt Road to Cremorne Street
During this time we encourage guests to use public transport to access Melbourne Arena. For those who must drive, the recommended access to the precinct is via Punt Road, Bridge Road, Church Street and Alexandra Avenue.

Only tickets purchased from our official ticketing partner; Ticketek, are valid for this event. Tickets purchased through any other sources may not be valid and you may not be admitted into the venue.
SANDRINGHAM LINE DISTRUPTIONS
Please note that due to Metro Tunnel works buses will replace trains on the Sandringham Line from 8pm Tuesday 21 May to 7am Sunday 9 June, between Flinders Street and Sandringham stations, as major construction continues at the site of the Metro Tunnel’s future eastern tunnel entrance in South Yarra.
