THE biggest names in darts will visit Melbourne in 2019 as the Melbourne Arena hosts one of Australia's World Series of Darts events.

Arrival: Please arrive early at Melbourne Arena and allow plenty of travel time. Guests will be subject to bag search, security wanding and a ticket check before entering the arena. This can take time. Limiting the amount of bags and items you bring can significantly reduce entry time, so please leave unnecessary items at home. We suggest guests arrive at least 45 minutes prior to their event start time to avoid disappointment.

Conditions of Entry: Some items are not permitted into Melbourne Arena. Please read and understand our conditions of entry prior to coming to the event. In addition to our standard conditions of entry, the following items are not permitted into the arena; balloons, whistles, air horns, party poppers, spray string, snappits, darts.

Melbourne & Olympic Parks management reserves the right to refuse entry to any person, prohibit any item being brought into the venue which may be deemed a nuisance or safety risk, and inspect bags, clothing and other items at any time during entry or while in the arena.

Bag restrictions: Backpacks of any size or type are not permitted into the arena for this event, this includes drawstring bags or handbags that can be worn as a backpack. All other bags must be under 30x30cm in size, or will need to be cloaked.

ParkingParking at Melbourne Park is sold out. There will be no drive up parking on the day. Guests should use city or Richmond parking and leave plenty of travel time.

Melbourne Darts Masters

The Melbourne Darts Masters will take place on August 16-17, as eight of the world's best players line up against eight Oceanic qualifiers in the two-day tournament.

Thousands of fans in fancy dress are set to flock to Melbourne Arena for Australia’s biggest darts party, with the event getting underway on Friday August 9 with the eight first round ties, as the PDC stars face the Oceanic representatives.

Saturday August 17 will see the conclusion of the tournament with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final in one bumper session of action.

Reigning World Champion Michael van Gerwen, fans' favourite Peter Wright and two-time World Champion Gary Anderson are set to feature, with the competitors to be confirmed in early 2019.

"The growth of darts continues in Australia and we are excited to be returning to Melbourne for a third consecutive year," said PDC Chief Executive Matthew Porter.

“Australia always produces an electric atmosphere at World Series of Darts events, and this is another great chance for sports fans to be part of the unique live experience of top-class darts."
